Sorry this took me so long to post about, I was trying to upload my own video but my computer is being a bitch. Instead, that’s the link to someone else’s vid on YouTube. I’ll try to work on it… ANYWHO:
Took the trek all the way from Syracuse to Allentown with a couple of friends this past Sunday to see the mighty Nightwish at the Crocodile Rock Cafe. The venue is kind of odd, but it’s got a nice homey-feel to it I suppose. If I was from Allentown, I’m sure it would hold a lot of sentimental value, much like The Chance for Elise and me. The first band and only opening band was Volbeat from Denmark. Honestly, they are not my style whatsoever, so they didn’t really do much for me. A lot of the people there seemed to be big fans though, weird.
Nightwish was pretty much awesome though. My only complaint was that they didn’t do “Wishmaster” or “Bye Bye Beautiful” but otherwise I was very happy with their set. Anette Olzon has a phenomenal voice and as a whole, the band is really impressive live. And unlike the night before, Anette was not wearing a muumuu. GET IT, ANETTE.
