Hiya kids.  Julia is far far away, and I haven’t done any updates in a few days….mostly because I have been battling a flu-ish sort of fever, as well as the most killer head/neck/back ache I have ever experienced in my tall/crooked-spined life.  In this sort of situation, music to ‘bang my head to’ isn’t quite the antidote I’m looking for.  So in light of my condition, I came up with a new feature for the blog called “Wussy Wednesday.”  Every ‘hump’ day, I will post a song/video by a non-metal love or guilty pleasure.

For today’s (first ever!) edition of Wussy Wednesday, I am posting the video for Pinback’s “Fortress,” from their 2004 album, Summer in Abaddon.  Pinback is a great, toe-tappin’ indie band from San Diego.  Their previous album, Blue Screen Life (2001), has been a favorite of mine for quite some time….and right now, it’s really helping to soothe my pain.
