No, there’s no echo in here. Just me and a guilty pleasure I like to call Kerli. We folk are more familiar with the darkest, most evil music coming from the northern region of the world called Scandinavia- but this time, it’s just Euro Pop hailing from Estonia.
This week I picked Kerli in honor of the dance party that no one remembers from last weekend, myself included. The video for “Walking on Air” does get a couple metal brownie points, for it’s obvious Tim Burton-esque theme, that leather outfit and labret piercing she’s got goin’ on, and that brutal SNOW in the background, but the whole album, “Love is Dead” is pop indulgence from beginning to end. I don’t get embarrassed about listening to it cause most people don’t know who she is. But now, you do!
And now, back to the brutality.
