IT’S WUSSY WEDNESDAY, LET’S BOOGIE.
Well, true Summer weather seems to finally be upon us (much to my dismay), and I couldn’t help but think of one of my favorite Summertime anthems. Today’s pick is “Kalimba de Luna” by the late 70’s/early 80’s German disco supergroup, Boney M. This song is actually a cover of an Italian singer named Tony Esposito.
Some of you might know Boney M. as ‘that band’ that Turisas covered a few years ago with the song “Rasputin.” I pride myself on being (what feels like) the only person in my age group that knew the original song before the cover. Some people still don’t know that it’s a cover. Well, it’s a pretty good one, especially considering some of the other shit that’s out there these days.
Anyway, I’ll let you guys jam out to this. Lather up. Crack open a beer. Enjoy.
