WHAT I LEARNED IN COLLEGE

Well kids, it’s August 4th already and The Gathering will soon be upon us….well, not me, but it will be for the majority of White Trash America.  So if you’re sick of watching that damn infomercial that we all love so much, I’ve dug up some other material for you.

In college I took your typical ‘Intro to Media’ blah blah whatever bullshit.  One day, I entered the lecture hall and found out we were watching a movie of some sort: a PBS documentary titled The Merchants of Cool.  It was an hour-long shtick about marketing and selling to cool, hip teens.  The final 10-15 min made me reconsider my life’s path as I realized I was being forced to watch something that celebrated Insane Clown Posse and Limp Bizkit’s ‘unconventional’ rise to fame.

Yup, this is what my tuition paid for.  Has anyone else ever seen this?
