IF YOU’RE READING THIS RIGHT NOW AND WANT TO WORK IN THIS MUSIC INDUSTRY, BUY. THIS. BOOK.

I was lucky enough to meet Ms. Sciarretto at the Metal Insiders Summit this past April and in addition to being extremely accomplished, she is also honest and down to earth (both in the book and in person). I could go on and on about this book, but here’s the short on why you should read it:

• First of all, it’s an easy read. I finished it in a day. Can’t ask for more than that.
• It’s not the same cliche shit you hear from everyone. It’s chock full of tips that will actually help you in your quest of metal industry domination. Even the common sense stuff is good advice that you need to be reminded of.
• I learned what a “solid” is. Again, good to know.

The book is especially useful for college students. There’s a lot of stuff in there that I wish someone would’ve told me when I was a freshmen, so the younger you are, the more you should read it. My only critique is that it’s mostly focused towards journalism, but still, most of the advice is universal. For Gods sake, there’s no reason to not read it so just GO FORTH and do it already!
