Well, hot diggity damn. I interrupt your Labor Day laziness to bring you a chick metal update. Kittie’s new album is on the horizon, and after listening to the single, I think they might have just made quite the ferocious return.

Now, I’ve always been a Kittie fan in good and in bad. Yes, we know, they’ve been through 1348736 lineup changes and some albums have been better than others. But, their 5th studio album comes out next week and now I’m very excited. First of all, it looks like they’ve gotten a new stylist or something cause they look hot (minus Morgan’s psuedo-Kate Gosselin haircut. Can’t win em all I guess) But more importantly, from what I’ve heard so far the sound is killer. In my opinion, each album has been much different than the last, and this one may just be my new favorite. “Cut Throat” almost sounds a little Killswitch-y, and you can’t say the the first 10 seconds of “My Plague” doesn’t remind you of a chick Lamb of God. Copycats? Nah. I think they just finally found what makes them purr. We’ll find out for sure September 15th (and also 9/27)…
