HAPPY BIRTHDAY, WEIRD AL!
Yesterday I read that it was Weird Al Yankovic’s 50th birthday. Even though he’s not metal, most of us can agree that Al sure is awesome, especially when he fiddled around with some of the hard rock jams we love so much. My favorite was always the “Alternative Polka,” which incorporated songs by Soundgarden, Foo Fighters and NIN. (Music starts at 1:20 mark.)
I also always dug “Smells Like Nirvana” and am just now getting into this “Angry White Boy Polka” which includes my “favorite”….OH-WAH-AH-AH-AH!!!!
