TEE HEE, ANOTHER ROCKIN’ CHICK BAKER

Any Oregon readers in the house??  Well, have I got a sweet spot for you to check out.  You may remember me telling you about a blog called Metalcakes a few months back.  I even baked one of the recipes on there, myself.  But now, there’s a new cutesy bakery in Albany, Oregon called Rocket Queen Cupcakes.  I get such a kick out of this stuff.

A few selections on the menu that I’m interested in trying are:

Looks That Kill - Chocolate cake filled with strawberry compote, whipped cream frosting, and topped with a fresh strawberry
Little Sister - Banana cake with dark chocolate peanut butter ganache, topped with a deep fried banana chip—Fuck yeah, Elvis!
She’s a Lady - Yellow cake filled with orange flower water, lavender whipped cream, topped with cream cheese frosting—Double fuck yeah, Tom Jones!
Baphomet - Carrot cake with goat cream cheese frosting, topped with toasted walnuts—HAHAHAH!!!

And for you bacon fanatics out there…

Squealer - Yellow cake with bacon pieces in it, frosted with maple butter cream and topped with a candied bacon piece

Apparently, there’s also a special Halloween-time flavor called Dead Man’s Party (Caramel apple spice cake, and chocolate with whipped cream).  Awesome.  Check out Rocket Queen’s website, as well as owner Jessica’s Twitter page, here.
