GOOD BAND….UGLY MERCH

I don’t really buy band t-shirts.  I own two Faith No More shirts and one Tom Jones tee.  That’s it.  They’re not really all that flattering most of the time, and I’m not good with being crafty and cutting them up all cool, so….I just don’t bother.  But maybe if I really really like the band, or the design is good…?

That said, everyone’e been shitting their pants over the new album by The Red Chord, Fed Through the Teeth Machine.  I gotta say I’ve enjoyed what I’ve heard from it.  I like The Red Chord.  I wouldn’t say I love them, but they’re a great band.  However, if I had to judge them based on their merch alone, I’d almost guess that they were some shitty screamo act like Attack Attack!

Look at this stuff!  I know a lot of you out there really dig this band, but you have to admit this is pretty ugly.  Another band I really like, Horse the Band, seems to be in this same boat.

Oh well, that’s just my taste.  You don’t have to agree with me.  If you like the shirt, by all means….go buy it.  But is there any band out there that you love, that has merch you wouldn’t be caught dead in?  Do tell.
