GET IT, SYRACUSE?

As you know, I’m quite fond of Central New York because of my college days at Syracuse University. LAMBGOAT posted the following earlier today:

Details regarding this year’s New Years Day show in Syracuse, New York have been announced. The all-ages event will take place at The Lost Horizon on Friday, January 1st at 2pm. Tickets are $18 in advance and the following performances are scheduled:

Trapped Under Ice
Black SS
Forfeit
Down To Nothing
Cruel Hand
Maximum Penalty
Naysayer
The Helm
Oak & Bone
Violent Side
Born Low
Unfinished Business

While I think it’s pretty cool that there’s a metal show in Syracuse for New Year’s, the lineup is pretty disappointing. Let’s face it- does anyone recognize any of these bands? Recently the ‘Cuse has welcomed some pretty familiar faces like Otep, In This Moment, Throwdown and Walls of Jericho. Metallica and Lamb of God just rolled through nearby Elvira, NY. So… wtf yo. It’s an area with a pretty decent scene, and I vote that for New Year’s Day, they need an upgrade!
