“WE’RE MYSTIK SPIRAL….BUT WE’RE THINKING OF CHANGING OUR NAME.”

The recent Mastodon/Dethklok tour came up in in conversation while catching up with some hometown buddies this weekend.  We then, of course, pow-wowed about all our other favorite cartoon bands, and my friend brought up one I had completely forgotten about: Mystik Spiral from Daria.  This was their big ‘hit,’ “Freakin’ Friends.”

For the longest time, I considered Trent Lane to be the hottest cartoon character of all time.  That was, until I saw Cowboy Bebop and discovered Spike Spiegel.

Yup.

My posts are about as lazy as this weekend I’m having.  Ok, time for more pie….
