Shalom metaloids! Tis the season and since between the two of us we have 1.5 Jews we decided to put together a little something for (C)Hanukkah. This is Reign in Blonde’s Metal Menorah, and every night we’re lighting a candle in honor of someone who deserves some recognition. So grab your lighters Jews and Gent(ile)s, it’s Metal Menorah time! Tonight’s Honoree…

Don’t worry, I’m not going to get all Liv Kristine on your ass and tell you why metal girlz are waaaay cooler than metal dudez.  But we are a fine breed, aren’t we?  Whether you’re out there making music yourselves, sitting in your room rocking out to it, or writing about it like Julia and I…it’s nice to know that we gal pals have been able to make our mark in (yet another) male-dominated field.

A big salute to you all.  Thank you for realizing there is more to life than just Taylor Swift and Bon Jovi.
