WHEN EVERYTHING SEEMS LIKE A MUSICAL REFERENCE

I thought a little bit more about yesterday’s post on Slayer Espresso, and it still weirds me out that the company claims to NOT be a direct reference to the band.  You hear the word Slayer…you automatically think of the band, right?  But there are so many other bands that we could say have “ruined” the English language for us.  Whenever I hear any of the following words, I always think of the bands of the same name:

• converge
• metallic(a)
• rancid
• quicksand
• misfit
• (k)creator
• shat
• death
• torch(e)

I know I’m not the only person who experiences this.  What words always make you think of bands?
