KOME TO KRAZY FEST!

We now interupt this blog-that-I-don’t-really-update-anymore to bring you a very special message from some very nice people putting together a festival down in Louisville, KY. This may or may not be up the alley of most of the people who happen to read this blog, but definitely worth mentioning as far as I’m concerned.

Krazy Fest will be held May 20-22, 2011 at Expo 5 in Louisville, KY. This festival used to be annual in the late 90s/early 00s, but was forced to go on hiatus for a few years….until now! I’ve personally never attended a Krazy Fest (Kentucky is a bit of a haul for me), but it’s definitely been home to some (from what I’ve heard—pretty superb) performances from bands I like such as Dillinger, Coalesce, etc.

What makes Krazy Fest truly special this year in particular are rare appearances by Cave In and Coalesce. (Both bands don’t do much extensive touring anymore.) There is also the reunion of emo “gods” Hot Rod Circuit. This will be their first time playing in a few years. I’d assume most of this readership doesn’t dig this sort of thing, but Hot Rod were always one of my personal favorites from that genre. To my knowledge, they have not scheduled any other appearances besides this one. So if you *are* a fan, getting down Krazy Fest might be pretty crucial.

Other than that, I’m pretty fond of A Great Big Pile of Leaves, Title Fight, Hot Water Music, Bouncing Souls, The Bled, La Dispute, Strike Anywhere & Touche Amore. But the lineup’s got plenty of other mishmosh going on, so be sure to check out the whole list here. Links for buying tickets can be found here. (PSSSST….THE FINAL FEW BANDS WILL BE ANNOUNCED VERY SOON. ANY IDEAS??)

As for me, my attendance for Krazy Fest is at a “MAYBE” for right now. But what about you guys? Anyone out there going? Do you like any of the bands? What bands (of this sort) would you maybe want to see on next year’s lineup, instead?
