ALICE IN REHAB
Last night I was in Albany, NY watching the mighty Skeletonwitch (more to come on that, btw) so I missed one of my favorite shows, VH1’s Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew. In case you’ve missed it, one of the celebrity patients is former Alice in Chains bassist Mike Starr. With all the press and praise surrounding the new AIC record, it’s pretty intriguing how Starr’s life is currently panning out- especially on national television. But last night’s episode really took it to the max…
Layne Staley’s mother, Nancy, showed up to support Mike Starr, and well… it was pretty epic. Not only that, but he also tells a story about being on tour in South America with Nirvana and RHCP and shooting up with Kurt Cobain. Maybe I’m crazy, but I found this to just be fascinating. It’s definitely a look into a story few people have seen, and I’m sure anyone interested in rock music would find it hypnotizing as well.
