WELL THAT’S QUITE A PHOTOSHOP JOB THERE, DARKSUN

It’s beginning to seem like bands straight up WANT me to make fun of them for their album/promo art alone. Exhibit A: Kivimetsan Druidi’s Zelda-riffic album cover. And now we have these guys: Darksun.

Now, I had never never heard these guys beforehand. But in my endless quest to sample as many new releases on humanly possible (as it is my bloggerly duty to do so), I come across this. What exactly is going on here? It sorta just looks like they posed in front of a Windows computer desktop background and called it a day. Their graphic “designer” didn’t really put a whole lot of effort into this. I guess that’s why they all look like they haz a sad. Or maybe they’re just pondering magnets, and how they work.

Anyway, have you ever listened to Darksun? …..no? It’s probably for the best. They’re not very good. They sing in Spanish, though…so they kinda make me giggle. But if you happen to like cheesy power metal en Espanol, check them out on MySpace and marvel at the circles under their drummer’s eyes. He was up all night Photoshopping this picture. Srsly. (That doesn’t even make sense.)
