CIRCA SURVIVE MAKE PRETTY DECENT NIRVANA “APPRENTICES”
After showing you guys some not-so-great covers from the Hoodwink Festival last week, I figured I’d show you another cover I found from another band who tends to roll in that same crew: Circa Survive. Here’s a recent clip of them performing Nirvana’s “Scentless Apprentice.” It ain’t half bad. It actually made me all oh snap, and I even flashed a gang sign.
I’ve never really been into Circa Survive, but I did quite like singer Anthony Green’s other band, Saosin a few years back. Circa are more popular with the scenepunk kids, but they’re also sort of progressive sounding. Is “progressive scene” a thing? I’ll have to consult the experts over at Stuff You Will Hate.
Circa Survive are currently on tour with Coheed and Cambria. Figures.
