‘THANK GOD’ FOR NEW BANDS I ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT
Whoa, severe lack of postage this week. My apologies. I’m usually such a good girl. I had some stuff going on the past few days. But don’t worry, I got the key to the city now. I’m good to go.
So what do we got today? Well, I’m grumpy. Why? I’ve become *that* girl. The one that wants to shake her first at every single stupid band everyone seems to care about these days. And it’s not just the new shit. I can at least somewhat understand getting excited about a new band, but holy f’ing bejeez the “Big Four” will not go away lately. Yeah, they had some thing where you could watch them live in a movie theater. I guess that’s exciting for some people, but not me. Seriously. I could not give any less of a fuck about the Big Four anymore. Not even Slayer. I know “you’re REIGN IN BLONDE!” Ugh, who cares? I’ve gotten to the point where looking at Kerry King’s big stupid ugly face makes me want to throw this very laptop I am typing on out the window. HMPH! ::flips hair::

Anyway, let’s talk about a band that I’ve seen on a few sites over the past few weeks. Seems like the type of thing that (once again) I will care about, but no one else I know will. They’re noisy. They’re retarded. They’re THANK GOD. I’m not sure if they’re a Christian band, but they are from South Carolina, so uhhhh…yeah, Jeezus. ::shrug:: Don’t let the name sway you. If you like it fast and spazzy, and DGAF about long, indulgent bullshit guitar solos, this is yo thang.
Buzzgrinder are calling Thank God a “hipster” band. Ya know, I’ve been called a hipster a lot lately. I don’t see how this is possible, I mean, I don’t like Animal Collective or anything. But…I guess part of being a hipster is being white, skinny, wears v-necks, lives in Brooklyn. Yeah…I got all those covered. Oh well. Try not to hold it against me.
Thank God’s album Ice/Age will be coming out next month, and they’re supposedly touring with An Albatross very soon. That shit is my jam. Get into it. Or not. Whatever.
I AM THE LAZER VIKING.
