While Elise is out and about in NYC going to metal shows, I’m sitting in Syracuse, NY bored to death, dreaming of all the shows I’m missing and generally being pretty lame. Hence, I’ll post about one of the most metal places in Central NY. Literally.

I started going to Scarab when I was a freshmen at SU, right after I turned 18 and decided to get my nose pierced on a whim. Since then, I’ve gone back from time to time to get a few more and I can’t tell you how much I love it. Hands down, its the best place in CNY to get any body modification done. Very clean, very professional, and everyone there is really nice and helpful.

I was there this weekend to support my friend and radio co-host Anthony (who decided to get a new piercing) and oddly enough, their apprentice Shelly told me that she saw me on UVTV recently. Love it when that happens. But anyway, John Joyce and crew are the best so if you need a new piercing, tattoo, henna, scarification, or even a massage, Scarab is the place to go.
