PIG DESTROYER RULE & ATREYU BLOW: THINGS YOU ALREADY KNEW

Well, like many others have already stated, Pig Destroyer thoroughly rocked a large, sweaty crowd this weekend.  Still glowing from it all, I have returned to my work week late (I played hooky yesterday), and have now been bombarded by news about the upcoming Atreyu album and tour.  Anyone who has ever spoken to me, has probably heard my bitchfest about the time when I got stuck watching that shitty band at a show a few years ago.  Anyway, where am I going with this?

In 2004, both of these bands released albums:

Atreyu - The Curse

Pig Destroyer - Terrifyer

Ok, so they don’t look exactly the same….but if this was US Magazine and I were to ask you Who Wore it Better? I think you know the right answer.  See also:

So last night some peeps and I were discussing bands we think are shitty.  One band always tops my list.  I once saw these dudes a few years ago and it was the most GOD AWFUL thing I have ever witnessed.  However, I cannot deny the comedic value of listening to it now…….at work.

So here’s to you, Atreyu!  The band I love to hate.
