Joe Biden is so NOT METAL, but you know what is brutal? HAVING TO BE AT THE DOME BY 8AM JUST BECAUSE HE’S OUR COMMENCEMENT SPEAKER.
That being said, I really shouldn’t still be awake right now. However, when you gotta post, you gotta post. Tomorrow I officially graduate and do the whole tassel moving from left to right thing, but today we had the individual college ceremonies where you actually get to hear your name called. The whole thing is just cuckoo bananas if you ask me.
BUT I DID keep it metal tonight and sang the shit out of Iron Maiden’s “Run To The Hills” at a grad party my roommates and I had at a local bar… Get it. Perhaps I’ll find a picture of it somewhere…
Tonight, Lamb of God plays in NYC. Yours truly will not be in attendance. Why? Because I am STILL in Syracuse. I graduate this weekend, and officially go from being a full-time student to just plain old unemployed. Hooray!
Instead of the beautiful (and bearded, thanks Elise) Mark Morton, I will get Joe Biden on Sunday. FML Thrilling, I assure you…
But anywho, now it’ll only be a matter of time until Elise and I are together again, wreaking havoc in New York and boozing it up full time. We’ll keep you updated on how that goes of course, and I’m sure I’ll post again before my brief hiatus. Stay tuned, horns high…

Here at Syracuse University we have this thing called Mayfest. After a couple years, the administration realized that it’s silly to have such a day, when it’s never actually been in May, so this year they changed the name to SU Showcase. What it’s SUPPOSED to be is a day of academic enlightenment with exhibit all over campus, but what it has become is just a random day where there’s no classes and students just party and binge drink ALL DAY. What you see above is the exact epitome of this day, and I had to share it with the world. This, my friends, is BRUTAL (just not in the way that we’re used to.)
