Rob Zombie has a lot of great Halloween songs, so it was hard to just single one out. BUT, Living Dead Girl was the “theme” to my college radio show and so it holds a special little space in my heart. Aw. Those were the days…

HEY. You know what happens when darkness falls? The kiddies go out trick or treating! Well, unless you’re an over-protective parent. In that case, that’s when trick or treating is over for you. LAME.

I was totally that kid that was out getting as much candy as I could, darkness or not. Brutal since birth, that’s how I roll. (No tootsie rolls though, please. M&Ms FTW)

I wouldn’t say this is Satyricon’s best or “spookiest” song, but it’s the only video they have that features Satyr’s new(ish) hot-ass haircut, so it’s a go.  I’m also going to be rocking out to these dudes tonight.  Hopefully I can pick my jaw up off the floor for long enough to actually enjoy the music.

A while back, MetalSucks posted this thing on funny Cradle of Filth vocal covers on Youtube.  One was done by a set of twins that have oddly fascinated me since then.  It’s really creepy that there are people who spend so much time doing this sort of thing….so Congrats, Martini Twins, you’ve made the hoedown!  Here’s one they really rock out to: Children of Bodom’s “Bodom After Midnight.”  Check out the “Rob Halford shoulder” at the 2:16 mark.  Enjoy!

HALLOWEEN HOEDOWN - “MEDUSA AND HEMLOCK”

I love bands that look like Halloween all year round. This particular Cradle of Filth tune has reminded me of Halloween since the first time I heard it- it’s just so eerie sounding.
